ProQuest e-Book Central Lunchtime Webinars

ProQuest ebook Central is a collection of ebooks on a wide range of subjects from many publishers. This platform allows users to sign up for their own account, after which users can save books for later under their "Bookshelf", download books, take notes and highlight material in the ebooks, and more.  The Library has a selection of owned titles on this lending platform. If the Library does not own a title, you may view it for 5 minutes. Any requests to purchase a title will be considered by the library.

  • 21st June 2022 1.00 - 1.30

The session will cover:

  • The difference between full download and chapter download
  • Annotations
  • Bookshelf

Lexis Red Training Webinars

The Tasmanian Law Library is offering monthly 30 minute webinar sessions as an introduction to the Lexis Red Digital Library platform. The sessions will cover all the basics such as accessing, borrowing, browsing, and searching content downloaded to the Lexis Red app. In addition, you will learn how to create annotations to documents and share content with work colleagues.  The Digital Library contains a huge range of titles ranging from reference sources such as Halsbury’s Laws of Australia, loose-leaf services such as Civil Procedure Tasmania, and an excellent selection of LexisNexis texts covering a broad range of topics. 1/2 CPD point can be earned by participating in this webinar.

Westlaw Practitioner Training Webinars

The Tasmanian Law Library is offering 45 minute webinar sessions as an introduction to the Westlaw Practitioner service. These sessions will provide an overview to searching Firstpoint, Laws of Australia, Commonwealth Law Report,  Tasmanian Reports, Unreported Judgments and Commercial Precedents.

Library News - New Database for Practitioners

Practitioner members can now access over 1,800 law books on the Oxford Scholarship Online : Law : Practitioner access database. Links can be found via the Legal Commentary portal on the library website.  Use your library password to authenticate.  Contact the library for additional information or assistance.
